Los Banos is just about the center of California. This is great, being approximately in the center, because you can visit the large cities - which have their own fast pace of society (traffic and crime) or go to the coast and check out the beaches, or to the Sierras for some playing in the snow - and it will not take you too long - just about 2 hours on the road and you are there. Then when you have had your fill, you will not be on the road what seems like forever to get back home where you are safe and sound.
We reside on the westside of the San Joaquin valley. We are very lucky to get the breezes off of the pass, this makes for very comfortable weather most of the time.
Around our town are several fun recreational areas for boating and fishing, having fun picnics, swimming, windsurfing, wildlife observation, photography, bird watching, Tule Elk watching, peaceful reflective thinking, dog trails, deer hunting, duck hunting, and sightseeing. Wow! Los Banos sure has a lot to do!
